According to research we just did, the house was built in 1865. Think what the world was like in Eastern NC at that time! The house has 3 bedrooms and one bath, and is roughly 1343 square feet. There is an original fireplace, and fantastic old heart-pine flooring throughout. There is a wide, screened in porch that faces the water and is the perfect spot for enjoying a cool drink at the end of the day. The roof is in good shape, the gas-pack heating system was replaced a year ago. The well is good. There is a dining room and an eat-in kitchen and the house has been just repainted inside and out. You’ll want to budget for a kitchen makeover because that part of the house has not changed since we bought the place.
